It is with full hearts and cherished memories that the family of the late Julia White announce her peaceful passing on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025, at the age of 92.

Born in 1933 to Dorcas and Henry Genge, Julia grew up in Flowers Cove surrounded by the love, laughter, and liveliness of her 11 siblings. Her early years were filled with the kind of hard work and heart that shaped her into the extraordinary woman she became.

She later married the love of her life, Ronald White, and together they built a life in Main Brook where they raised their four children. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Julia’s heart was always at the center of her home. Later, she moved back to Savage Cove, where she spent the last 50+ years surrounded by the people and place she loved.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Ronald White and dear son Clyde White, her parents Henry and Dorcas Genge, and her siblings Constance Genge, Lillian Genge, Josie Mitchelmore (Reginald), Garfield Genge (Aurelia), Iseral Genge, William Genge, Cosmo Genge (Marion), Polly Whalen (Adolphus), and Ellen Whalen (Ross).

Also mourning her loss are her dear brothers Henry (Alva) and Harris (Barbara), as well as sisters-in-law Hazel and Clara. Julia was a woman ahead of her time—sharp as a tack, savvy in business, and endlessly curious about the world. She was well-traveled, always eager for the next adventure, and never one to let an opportunity pass her by. Her laugh was infectious, her generosity boundless, and her love for family knew no limits. If she had it to give, she gave it without hesitation.
