Madeline passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Monday April 26th 2021 at the John M. Gray Center in St. Anthony. She was born and raised in Main brook. Madeline moved to Labrador City with her Husband Alvon and 3 children in 1975. she was a Christian woman and attended her church faithfully. she loved people and people loved her. greeting and meeting people with “How are you My Darling” or “My loved” was just her way. “a kind word and a friendly smile goes a long way” she would say. her family was number one in her life! Madeline was survived by her husbands Alvon, and her three children Darren Morris, Tony Morris and Lisa Burton (Trent), 5 grandchildren Joshua, Jonathan, Rowan, Caleb and Aidan. as well as her only brother Bob Gaulton (Doris), Nephew Dion Gaulton (Sonia), Niece Debbie MacDonald (John). as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.

Visitation and funeral service was held at the Pentecostal church in Main Brook on Saturday May 1st at 2:00pm with Pastor Reginald Skinner officiating. burial followed the service in the church community cemetery. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatres Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard Funeral director.

PITTMAN, WILLIAM JAMES (JIM)

January 14, 1949- April 26, 2021

It is with great sadness that we, the family of William James (Jim) Pittman of Plum Point, announce his passing on the morning of April 26, 2021 at Rufus Guinchard Memorial Hospital at the age of 72 years.  He leaves to mourn his wife Jane (nee young); children: Michael (Tina) and Betty (Todd); stepchildren: Gary (Rupa) and Rick (Roxanne); grandchildren: Alexis, Dillon, Emily, Caitlin, Evan, Hailey and Vanessa; siblings: Michael John (Madelon), Theresa (Bud), Mary (John Joe), Primus (Christine), Ronald (Gloria), Sheila (Hughie), Melvin (Mary), Maurice (Wanda), Eileen (Matthias), Christine and Lorraine (Lawrence).  As well he leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jim was predeceased by his parents Christopher and Bridget Pittman and brother-in -law Royal Gibbons. Viewing at the Church of The Advent, Plum Point. His family would like to thank the staff of Rufus Guinchard Hospital for their care and compassion.  The funeral (COVID restrictions in place) will be held on Thursday, April 29th, 2021 at 2:00 pm with Rev. HEDDERSON, NELLIE ELAINE

July 6, 1968 - April 18, 2021
It is with great sadness that the family of Elaine Hedderson announces her passing after a lengthy illness, on Sunday, April 18th, 2021, at the age of 52 years. Elaine was sick for a significant portion of her life and Susie devoted her life to her care. Words cannot begin to describe the love and nurturing that Susie provided over the last half a century to ensure that Elaine had the best possible life. Elaine and Susie made countless trips to Curtis Memorial Hospital and to the Janeway over the years, and is forever grateful for the care from the health care teams, too numerous to mention; and for the prayers and support from all her former and current pastoral care and church community. Elaine will be forever remembered by her loving mother Susie and her children Terry (Natalie) ; Ella (Wayne), and Dwight (Mary). Elaine will also be fondly remembered by her close family members- Margaret and Jim Wight, Sybil Hiller, Francis and Ernest Hedderson, Walter and Nellie Bennett, Aaron and Noah , Terry and Stephanie, Dillon and Elizabeth, Matthew and Robyn , Jenna, Bryan. Elaine was predeceased by her father, John, and her brother, Bryan. She has been cared for throughout the years by numerous homecare workers, who have been a mountain of support for Elaine and Susie. Private visitation to take place on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 from 12 pm - 1:30 pm to followed by the funeral service at 2:00 pm at Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle, St. Lunaire-Griquet, with Pastor Bill Harnum officiating. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, attendance at the church service, and visitation, starting from 2:00 pm on April 21st will be by invitation only. Interment will follow in the cemetery at Quirpon. PARSONS, LAVINIA

 Lavinia was born on June 06, 1952 to Howard and Ella Pilgrim of Main Brook.

She married Albert Chesley Parsons at Roddickton on November 26, 1970. They raised 4 children: Marvin, Howard, Dannie and Patricia.

Lavinia lived her life to the fullest, enjoying the great outdoors including ski-dooing, ice fishing and going to the cabin up in the country. She also loved to cook and entertain.

In her working years, she was employed with different fish plants including Roddickton, Bide Arm and other plants across NL and Nova Scotia.

She gave her heart to the Lord on March 05, 2021 and was so happy for this decision which gave her such peace in the midst of her time of sickness.

After a short stay in the Curtis Memorial Hospital at St. Anthony, Lavinia passed peacefully away in the early hours of April 16, 2021 surrounded by loving family.

Lavinia was predeceased by: Her dad and mom: Howard and Ella Pilgrim, Brothers: Chesley, Ronald and wife Ivy, Alfred, Graham and Scott. Sister: Mae Noseworthy

She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories:
